Common issues and solutions for TendSocial users.

Social Account Connections

"Failed to connect account"

Cause: OAuth token expired or revoked.

Solution:

  1. Remove the existing connection
  2. Re-authorize from Integrations page
  3. Ensure pop-up blockers are disabled

"Permission denied" when posting

Cause: Missing required permissions during OAuth.

Solution:

  1. Disconnect the account
  2. Reconnect and accept ALL permission prompts
  3. For Facebook/Instagram, ensure you select the correct pages

Posting Issues

"Scheduled post failed"

Cause: Token expired or content validation error.

Solution:

  1. Check the error message in post details
  2. Verify the connected account is still active
  3. Check if content meets platform requirements (length, media format)

"Image upload failed"

Cause: Image too large or invalid format.

Solution:

  • Max file size: 10MB
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
  • Try compressing the image

Analytics Issues

"Analytics not showing"

Cause: Data sync delay or connection issue.

Solution:

  1. Analytics sync every 24 hours initially
  2. Check that accounts are connected
  3. Wait 24-48 hours for historical data

"Engagement rate is 0%"

Cause: New posts without enough impressions.

Solution:

  • Engagement rate requires impressions > 0
  • Wait for platform to report metrics (can take 1-24 hours)

Account Issues

"Cannot access team features"

Cause: Insufficient role permissions.

Solution:

  • Contact your team Owner or Admin
  • Required roles: Admin or Owner for team management

"Trial expired" message

Cause: Free trial period ended.

Solution:

  • Upgrade to a paid plan in Billing settings
  • Contact support for trial extension requests
