Team Roles & Permissions
Control what each team member can access and do in TendSocial.
Default Roles
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access including billing. Cannot be modified. |
| Admin | Manage team, settings, and all content |
| Manager | Approve content, view all analytics |
| Member | Create and edit own content |
| Viewer | Read-only access |
Viewing Roles
- Go to Settings > Company > Roles
- See all roles and their permissions
Creating a Custom Role
- Click Create Role
- Name your role (e.g., "Content Creator")
- Select permissions to grant
- Click Save
Editing Permissions
- Click on a role name
- Toggle permissions on/off
- Changes save automatically
Note: The Owner role cannot be edited or deleted.

- Create posts and campaigns
- Edit any content
- Delete content
- Publish to social platforms
- Approve pending content
Analytics
- View dashboards
- Export data
Team
- Invite/remove members
- Manage roles
Settings
- Edit company settings
- Access billing
Assigning Roles
- Go to Settings > Company > Team
- Click on a team member
- Select their role from the dropdown
- Click Save
Best Practices
- Give minimum necessary permissions
- Use "Viewer" for stakeholders who just need reports
- Reserve "Admin" for trusted team leads
- Create custom roles for specialized positions
